Welcome to Well Fed!
Thanks so much for finding me and being curious enough to read a few words. Here’s a bit more about this publication and about myself.
Well Fed is a newsletter about the vibrant intersection between food, seasonal cooking and wellbeing. In these posts, you’ll find recipes, resourceful kitchen tips & musings on how we feed our bodies, how we care for ourselves, our communities and mother nature.
I’m, Marissa Lippert, a chef, registered dietitian, recipe developer and writer based in New York City and Copenhagen. I’ve been cooking, talking and writing about the intersection of food, self-care and intuitive rhythms and connections for over two decades. I’ve come to think of that intersection as “embodied eating” and “somatic self-care cooking” (when we are truly listening and connecting to our bodies), which is precisely what this newsletter is all about. It’s about a nurtured, nourished connection between our own wellbeing, our community, the food we eat and the eco-system around us. It’s about storytelling, the simplicity of stunning ingredients, the magic of the seasons, and eating with thoughtful intention and locality. It’s about making our daily food routines a little easier, resourceful, respectful (and hopefully extremely enjoyable).
You’ll find my words, recipes and expertise featured in a variety of publications including Politiken, The New York Times, Vogue, Bon Appetit and The New Yorker to name a few.

Sign up for a monthly zoom call to check in and chat about progress, challenges, questions, recipe/cooking chats and most of all community.
a deeper dive into personal essays: dealing with depression/loneliness and its relation to cooking and connecting to our food as a way of healing; how our food impacts feminine (life) cycles - fertility, postpartum and perimenopause/menopause; cooking in relation to the creative process, struggling with self-doubt, financial challenges, and romantic relationships (or the lack of).
